Everyone talks of Art Van Damme and Frank Marocco, and sometimes Ernie Felice and Leon Sash (and rightfully so), but not of Tommy Gumina so often when talking accordion jazz.
Here is one of his solos / improv, and to me it's one of my top 5 favorites among all those guys.
Very simple, but with several techniques and textures
No need for an endless sequence of fast 8th notes. Might not be the most difficult solo, but the variety is refreshing.
Starts at 2:12 and goes on till 3:18.
