i wonder if you might listen to my f/bass sounds :?:

they have been bugging me for a while

the sounds seem quite harsh, especially on one coupler, and not quite right

in fact i tend to leave it on one coupler setting as one is particularly gravelly and gruff sounding

i wonder how much is down to the fact that its german basses and maybe a lower end model and they are quite um paa paa like in these

i wonder can anything be done to make them more mellow sounding or is it a case of living with them

hope you know what i mean :? :)

On the first scale, there’s a change in tone from the G up to the C, where its it sounds like a change from a single reed to a double (?) reed. You’re playing lightly and with short notes, so it’s hard to tell what the issue is.

The second sounds ok to me, just "play out" a bit more?

By the way, what are you using to record with? The waveform always looks loud..

May I ask -- what make and model accordion are you using ?? Is it German ?? Does the offending reed cause more bass vibration ?? JIM D.

1)thats why i dont use this register really and what makes me think not right
2)fair enough - was a long shot for possible help
3)what does play out mean
4)a pc mic - my recordings are always quiet on playback too

I) I don’t know how many reeds should be sounding on each register. A fellow “freebasser” should be able to advise?
2) No criticism implied, but it’s hard to tell when the notes are so short.
3) Make more noise, give it some air. :)
4) I was interested as to why the waveform is so high, the playback should be really loud.
