Hi folks
I've recently had master bass midi fitted to my Fantini Sharino. I notice on some bass midi fittings there is connection plugs that allow you to take of the bass plate.
On my master midi it's just a straight loom , and if I take the bass plate of its quite regular that the solder connected to the din port severs resulting in no midi. The technics of midi lol.
I've had it soldered back in so it's working fine again. I also use the Roland BK7M which has plenty sounds but again too technical for me.
I tend to use about six piano sounds , which suits my sound fine.

Many Thanks
Daniel.

I find piano sounds (which are percussive) not really matching the sounding focus of an accordion (which is sustained). This may, of course, be worse with the CBA I play than with a piano keyboard since a CBA with its more condensed action makes differentiated attacks for voicing and articulation purposes harder to achieve. But even a piano accordion keyboard should have light action focused on valve opening control rather than strike action.

Sustained sounds are also easier to top off with reed sounds, particularly so if the sustained sounds are not actually bellows pressure sensitive: then one can vary expression by varying the real instrument component.
