Hey guys and gals... Ive been looking for this one for a good while without luck.  Would anyone know by chance where I could find the sheet music for this one?

[video=youtube]

I've tried her website last year and even tried emailing her directly in English and in German but had no reply... but this is new. I'll send off an email to the email on this website and see what happens. :)

Thank-you!! :D

Might be a good opportunity to practice your transcription skills. Despite the speed, it actually doesn't sound like too tricky of a song to pick out. Mostly single notes. Lots of clear shots of her right hand to help out (although the performance might be "finger syncing", still...). And you can always slow down the video too.

Oh God Lord, Jeff (lol). The last time I did that was in my conservatory days, and though I did it well enough, it was never one of my most favorite activities.

I'll gladly pay the few Euro to have it sent to me. It definitely is not a hard piece if you have a bit of dexterity, there are easier songs out there, but this was a piece that I first heard a couple years ago and is a bit of a show stopper, and I really want to use this piece as a personal challenge to see if I could ever play.

Back in the day I was playing songs like this with 2-3 hours of practice, and by heart with a day's worth of prep. I fell right to the bottom of the barrel with decades of no practice and the addition of age and arthritis, but this is a good piece that will challenge (or kill), me and I liked it just enough so that I think it would keep my interest long enough to give it an honest effort. :)

Well you don't have to literally transcribe (as in formally notate) it. But if you're willing to put in the time and effort to learn it, why not just learn it off the video? Maybe a bit more work than having the dots just given to you, but you're learning and probably even memorizing the song as you do it (and arguably in a deeper, more permanent way than reading gives you), so it sort of saves a bit of time down the road.

I'm not picking on you, Jerry, honest! But personally, I don't get the (very common) reluctance to learn songs from recordings. To me, it's sort of like seeing an actor post a video of a monologue from a play that they really want to perform, but they can't find anywhere to buy the script, so they just give up learning it. I can't help but think, "um, all the lines are right there in the video you just posted!"  :huh:

Well sure, learning music from a recording isn't quite as easy/fast as learning a monologue, but I wouldn't consider it so much harder as to be a deal-breaker, especially for a piece someone is passionate about learning.

It's free too.  :P

Don’t really know how old any of you are, but I’ll be 72 next week. I can tell you that age messes with everything. You want that 30 pound accordion?  Buy it while you’re young for that lightweight 20 pound one becomes usable only while sitting.

You want to memorize or learn to transcribe tunes, do it while your young because it becomes hard and  nearly impossible to do when you’re old.
