Hi there!

I created an account as I thought here I could find a reliable answer to my question. I'm helping someone clear out their instrument storage and found this accordion. They're interested in selling it but it would be great to know as much about it as possible.

Going off of my own research, I think it's a Bandmaster due to the colouring and the matching "made in" markings. However, I can't seem to find any with this boomerang shaped patterning on it.

Any insights would be much appreciated!!!

An older student model from the 50's-60's would be my guess. There is no great value there. If in perfect condition, it may be worth about $200US, less if there are any issues that need resolving.

As has been mentioned hundreds of times here, the value of an accordion is not on the outside, but on the condition of the inside. Curled valves, rust and old hard cracked wax, quality of current tune and many other things, define the true value of an accordion.

I have a friend that recently found a 1967 AC Cobra, in pictures it looked like it was in very good condition, an easy million-plus US dollar car. He picked it up for $5000, because though it looked nice on the outside, EVERYTHING else was either bad or missing. Accordion evaluation works the same way.
