Lars Ek ...

...playing Pietro Frosini on a contemporary "finto" piano accordion.๐Ÿ™‚

Itโ€™s not contemporary at all; it was (as Lars Ek himself said) once owned by Frosini and the bass section was replaced with the stradella system. It is a regular three row chromatic accordion. Thereโ€™s no fake piano design on it, so the term โ€œfintoโ€ doesnโ€™t apply here. Frosini played other accordions with the finto design.

Whoops !
An elderly moment!๐Ÿ˜„
I should have looked more carefully
( measure twice, cut once?).๐Ÿซข
You're quite right: thanks Zevy๐Ÿ™‚

So this was really cool! The bellows technique is interesting. Iโ€™ve never played it like that. Is this a technique of the time? Seems rather strange and unnatural to me, but Iโ€™m far from a frosini expert. It does sound cool.
Bel fiore snd bel Visio are a couple of my favorites. Ive been playing around with coquette polka since I heard you Zevy play it on here sone where.

I have a true "Finto" style C system accordion, which this vid has inspired me to break out and give a whirl. Haven't played it since acquired (mostly as an oddity). I'll post some pics when I do so (of the accordion, not me struggling to play it).
