...playing Pietro Frosini on a contemporary "finto" piano accordion.
It’s not contemporary at all; it was (as Lars Ek himself said) once owned by Frosini and the bass section was replaced with the stradella system. It is a regular three row chromatic accordion. There’s no fake piano design on it, so the term “finto” doesn’t apply here. Frosini played other accordions with the finto design.

So this was really cool! The bellows technique is interesting. I’ve never played it like that. Is this a technique of the time? Seems rather strange and unnatural to me, but I’m far from a frosini expert. It does sound cool.

I have a true "Finto" style C system accordion, which this vid has inspired me to break out and give a whirl. Haven't played it since acquired (mostly as an oddity). I'll post some pics when I do so (of the accordion, not me struggling to play it).
