hi . iwould like 2 copy combi / programmes ect from 0ne xd5to another so that they are programmed exactly the same.
i have connected the out socket on one , to the in socket on the other one with a lead.. protection is switched off
on the receiving korg. what is the exact procedeure from herein. to carry out the copying

Hi. It's a midi dump. Do you have the manual. You have to ensure that the receiving module is set up to receive program changes.
 
it is also easier to first "dump" and save your midi settings to your computer
as a file THEN send them back out to the second module

and, as i recall, the M, O and X modules required the correct unique SYSEX header,
and i seem to remember having to make a change to that header on
the computer to match the second module in order to get it to
accept the file and process it

but that was long ago and far away
