Korg FISA SUPREMA

Here's a Concert Link that just occurred, but it's not public yet. Just letting you guys see it as it's the KORG in the Wild, as I use it with one of the GREATEST Musicians Alive today, my dear friend, Natalie Tanenbaum. Some is on the Roland, Some on the KORG.

Listening comparatively both Korg and Roland in the same hands, I hear that Korg's sound is both denser and cleaner.
I know, I know, it sounds controversial. The way I hear it, the instrument's sound is more intense and saturated. At the same time, it has clarity Roland lacks (perhaps, better signal-to-noise ratio?). I always felt Roland sound as slightly "dirty", like a cassette tape's recording.

Nothing short of amazing. We already knew you are a great artist on the accordion but where on earth did you find that amazing pianist!
Keep up the good work! I'm sure we'd all love to here more!

Super cool, thanks Cory!!!!! I think your outfit goes great with the Korg. Suppose it was so dark in there you needed sunglasses…..🤣. Thanks for promoting the accordion and keeping it real.

But…..You need to spend some time with Losthobos bro. You got too many notes, not enough soul. What if you put your prodigious talent towards soul, emotion, tasteful use of space? What is it that differentiates you from Frank Marocco? Sorry, I’m an old swamp yankee from Peace Dale, we tell it like it is. Just sayin’.

Yeah, Art Tatum and Oscar Peterson really should have played much slower...

I think they are pretty covered in the soul and speed departments, but thanks!

Art Tatum was a different kind of dude. Never will be duplicated. As adroit on the left hand as the best jazz players were on their right hand. No matter who was playing and where, if Art stepped into the room they deferred to him. I love watching what little early footage exists of him.

Has anyone read the post from Linda Herman where her FISA broke into 2 pieces on the trebels side? Quite shocking!

Korg is 100% going to take care of this... but why in the world would this even ever happen on a released production unit and is this going to be a thing or a one-off situation?

My personal opinion? Linda's been working out... lol

Linda’s a serious golfer from what I’ve seen of her posts. How that figures into the broken Korg is anyone’s guess … 😀

I cannot find this post... not here, not on facebook, not anywhere with Google... It does look like the connection between the treble side and the rest is rather flimsy though (a few screws into a plastic part...)

Those small plastic pieces with small screws won’t hold much I’m shocked to see that holding the left side to the right - imagine people doing bellow shakes and a little twisting and that looks like a disaster waiting to happen or in Linda’s case has already happened

It’s on the FISA Suprema by Korg Facebook group

That's bad news for me. There's another video out there with very few views of a guy that's Fisa is always jumping to Register 13 when he selects any bassoon register, or something like that. If he selects Register 2 and starts playing it will jump to Register 13 all on it's own within a minute.

I play my FR-8X unbelievably enthusiastically. Not like some others that barely move the bellows or use light bellows curves. In 10 years it's never had an issue. I sure hope this is a one-off but from Paul's comments I agree that the method for joining looks very flimsy.

$20 DVD players and clock radios have threaded brass inserts
molded into the plastic body for mating/assembly purposes
but Roland put the screws directly into the plastic.. something i
publicly gave them headaches about back in the day.. but just like
other baggage from the Bruti crowd, apparently the new Korg
is no more intended to last very long (physically) or be well
supported into the future by being repairable than an FR7x
