This attractive BCCsharp accordion is for sale locally (U.K.) The coupler markings appear to indicate it is a 3-voice instrument but the description says it is 4-voice. I know the seller to be a very experienced accordion repairer and he is aware of the anomaly.
It would be interesting to get feedback.

"It has 5 couplers, which are bassoon (L), bandoneon (LM), master (LMMM), musette (MMM) and clarinet (M), which I have made into a closed coupler,"

So it has no functional clarinet register, the button was turned in to an "all reeds off" button, bit of an odd choice for me since I play a lot with clarinet only.

It's a 4-reed accordion. The master register is not showing the center clarinet reed (here identified as "oboe") but his description says that all reeds play while in "Master".

Many manufacturers don't match the picture of the register to the actual reed sets used. In a recent thread I am sure some sharp-eyed readers clearly saw that Iorio also did not properly identify the reeds used, and in one case even had them completely upside down. :)

Definitely a very beautiful but niche instrument made to respond to the needs of a dedicated stylist for a specific kind of music.

It seems quite light for a 41/117 LMMM accordion with built-in mikes. Any comments?

JerryPH:
I suspect that the option of playing the single M clarinet reed was removed at the request of the owner. It could probably have been done with the single bassoon coupler as well. It's a position that could be reversed in the future if required.

wirralaccordion: It certainly is a light accordion given is note range.

I recommend looking at other accordions for sale by this seller of the Excelsior, including an interesting 5-voice LMMMM Ranco. You can view them on Gumtree Edinburgh UK

This one, Jerry?
Interesting ?
Sounds amazing!?
Plus another repair technician lead!??
