Hi, i own an Accordiola accordion, but i haven't seen this model before , it's a double tone chamber model with a tone modulator(surdina).
I've tried looking up the internet this model but can't seem to find any specifics about it . Can any one help?

What specifics are you looking for?

Good accordions, made in Camerano. The factory produced boxes for Accordiola and Charron Freres brands. Good honest reeds (albeit, TAM quality even in their top of the range models). No idea about the maker.

Yours is not their top of the range model but not the bottom either.

A bit surprising to see Accordiola without a 3-voice musette. Typically these came with at least 3 Ms and Amsterdam tuning.

If you're looking to play it, get it serviced if not done already.
If you're looking to shift it on ebay, bad luck - nobody in the UK is buying accordions (or anything else) right now.

Thanks for the info. I was looking to know a bit more about the year of manufacture, if there are any more models like this one since I haven't been able to find anything about this type. The tuning is 440Hz and LMMH reed configuration. Underneath the mask on the sordina and on the reeds block there is engraved "1000" and I am very curious to know more about it's history. Any information would be phenomenal. Thank you a lot 🤝😁

Your model is older than mine, but can't be that much older, as the green anodised hardware inside the box looks the same. My register switches are the older style though.

My "Cassotto II" is stamped Ser.31 No. 2 and it would have been a prototype of what became the first gen "Chromaton V" - popularised by by Johnny Meijer. Mine looks exactly like his, with the old-style registers, albeit it lacks the numerous cigar burn marks that can be found on his accordion :ROFLMAO:

I suspect yours was a prototype too - perhaps end of 1960s, very early 70s?

From what I've read, Accordiola sales got really hit by the decline in demand for accordions. They tried to keep up by axing (originally very high!) quality from (late?)70s onwards, but that only led to a faster fall in sales.
