Thanks everyone! You know, I keep saying it, but the human body is incredible, and has the ability to come back from many levels of damage at incredible speeds. That first week after the operation, I cannot even tell you how much pain I was in, but but the experience totally humbled me. Within a week, I was able to walk a couple of steps and everyday has seen great improvement. Yesterday (a mere 3 weeks after being under the knife), I was improved enough that I was able to (slowly and VERY carefully and with the help of family), cut the grass of my front yard, which was amazing to be outside. I then later that day visited my Jiu-Jitsu school and sat and chatted with several good friends.
Concerning the Evo... hey, in the spirit of being completely honest here, I pretty much can tell you in detail EVERY fault and negative point about it in a comparison to the 8X, and I know that short of being given one, would never purposely go out looking to own one. I also went in to miniscule detail about every one of these points as to why Ed (a board member here), should look to the 8X instead. I also suggested that he call Petosa and get the whole story/pricing about the Evo and 8X and everything else straight from them.
Facts are the Evo, short of the right hand keyboard and nicer looks, has NOTHING on an 8X, it is also $3500US more (for the luxury model)... and Ed ended up paying that extra money and is today extremely happy with his choice of ordering and owning the Evo.
Bottom line, I am a very logical thinker in many aspects, especially when it comes to making purchases. I analyse until the cows come home... but not every one is, and in some cases, no amount of argument, logic or known faults will convince anyone otherwise, because if what they want... is what they want, they totally should get what stirs their heart. So to all Evo owners I say... enjoy, and many years of good fortune and enjoyment to you!
Ed's recent joke was "hey, now that I am an Evo owner, are we still friends, and are we still talking to each other?" Haha!
I am actually looking forward to seeing his videos with the Evo, I am sure they are going to be stunning!
As for their "smaller" accordions, this is more than likely going to be a Chinese box, nothing to do with Bugari. so I am sure it will be just fine for people wanting to go that route, but again, that's not a path I am ever going to follow... at least not in the next 20 or so years.
