Hi all,
Just wondering if anyone has had experience transferring sets and user programs . I have a friend who also owns a fr8x and has some great user programs and sets on his accordion . I want to kid those onto my accordion but he only has them saved on a usb . Is there a way he can download the data from the usb and send them to me, even via email ??

First, I want to clarify a couple of points:

- if the sound sets originated as the ones from Richard Noel, Dale Mathis or are proprietary and are sold as commercial products, it is morally and legally illegal for those to be distributed.

- If you have an 8X, you can import all or parts of a backup from a friend. Standard back-up and restore procedures will work.

You must also have the correct Expansion sets that were used to create the User Programs. Get the Richard Noel sets from him. He will ask you what "Expansions" you have and will send you the correct ones that will work with his User Programs.

Or download them (and others for your perusal) for free from Roland.

Thanks for that jerry !
The sets are not from either of those guys , he has created them himself. We generally play Balkan music so it’s quite specific the sound . I will try this with him and see how that goes .
