Ive just got a Hohner Organola 1B. Musette accordeon.
Does anybody know anything about the instrument?
Where is the fabrication number located? How old can it be?
It plays real good and everything works.

Pipemajor: Nice looking box. Probably a disaster inside (unless it's had attention?) but quality I find hard to resist.
We haven't seen jularbo's Organola yet.

I dont play PA so I haven't bothered to open it up but most of the bass buttons are sunk. I only bought it for the nice case (Skyway) it was in.
If I can get a "round tuit" I might have a look inside one day

It looks like a late 30s maybe 40s box to me, although the grill pattern is not one I've seen before. The two palm couplers are nice; they give you a bit more variety compared to the usual single coupler you get on pre-war instruments. I have a smelly but lovely old Frontalini Odeon, tuned LMMM, with one palm coupler that brings in the low reed and one that brings in the two outer middle reeds. The true middle reed plays constantly. I imagine that's a similar setup to this Organola. Does it have a coupler on the bass as well?
