Hiya,
I spotted this on ebay and Im wondering what it is (apart from a really bad paint job):

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Hohner-L...103620?hash=item41e367c7c4:g:V9MAAOSwX5ZbDtye

Ive checked the Hohner Accordion List topic.
It claims to be a Lucia III but that should have 5+3 registers.
This has 7+3 registers which would be the III P, but the badge says III.
The 4th picture seems to show LMM as the master register. I think the IIIP is double octave tuned, would that have LMM ?

Im guessing by the bad paint and the bling that its been messed around quite a bit,
but Im still wondering what it is.

Cheers,
Glug

This is probably slightly more interesting:

Lucia IV P on ebay
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/HOHNER-L...870197?hash=item48ade151b5:g:cQUAAOSwgFJa5Mpz
25 hours to run.

I went round to see it and it seems to be ok, its definitely what it says it is.
Register tabs can probably be fixed quite easily, apparently somebody put them back in the wrong order.

I could have bought it on the spot for a decent price (more than £220 though) but I didnt.

Now heres the reason Im posting this: I didnt like the sound with MM selected.
I thought the MM selection on the IV P did some form of musette.

The (only) box Ive played is an old 2/5 48 bass with Italian musette (so its MM with no register switches, but not tuned in the last 40 years) and I really like the musette sound from that. But Im certain Ive seen youtube of musette tunes played on the IV P.

Can somebody tell me if there is a special variant of the IV P that does decent musette ?
Or has my brain been distorted by Italian musette and I would learn to like a dry MM sound ?

Im trying to find a small box with nice musette that can be turned off, which is why I was looking at the Lucia III.

ps. Ive got no connection with the seller, just interested in a smallish box that can do musette.
