Help needed please

Hello, I have just acquired this accordion. Can anybody help me with dating it, and give me an idea of its value (if any).
What I have found on Google is that it was probably made in the Recanati area of Italy.
I have no idea what the number 4168 means on the back, top left.
Also on the back the numbers 89.41/120/2/4.1
I guess the 41 referrers to the 41 piano keys, and the 120 the number of buttons.
The 2 could mean the Master and Clarinet voices, but the rest is a mystery.
The bellows seem to be sound. I saw on youtube someone test the bellows by lifting the accordion up by the keyboard and watch the belows slowly inflate.
Mine opens very slowly, which I hope is a good sign.
As to the value, I have no idea, any thoughts?

Looks like "V Soprani di Silvio & co"?
Looks like "V" may be "Virgilio".

Hi there - picked up this 41/120 as a second box. Seems in good nick - bellows leak a little bit of air, one bass key (that I've found) is a little sticky and it needs new straps, but otherwise all couplers seem okay and nothing rattles!

I'm guessing needs a bit of a tune, but general tone is good and I'm very pleased with it. I'm very new to playing, so no experience other than my main Galotta, so who knows, I may be missing something major!

Just wondered if anyone knows much about the make and model?

I might be wrong but I believe it's made by Virgilio Soprani in Recanti and I'm...

Thanks Dingo40 for the info. It does seem to read, "V Soprani di Silvio" and the "V" for Virgilio would make sense.

These (and others like them) were very soundly made in Italy during the late 1940s through the 1950s.
They were intended for the beginner and amateur enthusiast and proved to be versatile and durable. (Still going after 70 years!)
A popular colour, with a case.
They are eminently repairable.
In playable condition, depending on local demand, asking price could be as much as $A500 (240GBP).
Potentially, a nice thing!

I am in two minds whether to sell it ,or persevere in trying to learn how to play. Playing it is much more difficult than it looks. I think I am a bit too long in the tooth to learn such a complex instrument.

Only you can decide!
Learning any musical instrument is harder than it may look at first sight!
However, if you need something to occupy the time, the accordion is quite effective.
