Guy In A Stairway...

@petch, what do you think to the design of the instrument? Is it the ultimate Classical accordion? Or an experiment that will never catch on?

I love the idea.
I believe the Harmoneon was invented in the 50s in France. You can now find them for around 500 euro from quality - if defunct - builders.
The answer is, I'm afraid, it didn't rather than it won't.
A pity - people prefer the convertor option but shouldn't this at least be in the catalogues?

I'd really like to try one - it seems like it would be much better than usual free bass (at the cost of having no converter to go to standard bass)

Is there a good reason for its lack of popularity, or is it just another good idea that never caught on I wonder. Borsini no longer have this model listed anywhere as far as I can tell, though I know there are some other manufacturers who have made them. Then there's the Fisitalia Bayan Ergo which you mentioned, which costs nearly €17000 from factory... I think I'll keep an eye out for those €500 ones!

Wow. Now that's some nice Bach.

"Good make"
The same site has another Crosio and a Maugein.
Given the Harmoneon's specialised appeal, I doubt if there are too many Student models out there.
