Hi!
Thanks for registering me on this forum -I'm new here, from the north of Scotland, been playing piano accordion on and off since my teens...just getting interested in accordion repairs.

My accordions are a motley crew consisting of an old Hohner Verdi I in bits (purchased to learn about repair) and two small accordions - a 32 bass Crucianelli piano accordion from the 1960s and a 26 bass Ellegaard Special free bass CBA, probably about 30 years old, both of these sound lovely and are fun to play.

I love most genres of music on accordion, especially Scottish, Latin American, and Eastern European.

Looking forward to learning more about my favourite instrument and its music here, great to meet you!

Thank you Dingo40 and Saundersbp!

I'm a beginner on free bass, although I've been playing piano/stradella bass for about 30 years...so I am working through Mogens Ellegaard's book for children, Accordeon Skola fΓΆr Ungdom. It's in Danish, but can be translated with Google translate. Fun little tunes, many of them Danish folk songs.

Great, I think that book was co-authored by Lars Holm. I've found his teaching materials the best if all. I'd recommend Music Box 1 and the little accordion you have would manage all of it. If you don't have a copy PM me and I'll direct you to a source.

Sounds great - thanks for the recommendation - I'll have a look for a used copy online πŸ˜ŠπŸ‘
