Hi Chris,

Very impressive and very controlled. Apart from the octaves, a lot of this is playable on the Stradella bass including the A B C# D E G F# E D run. There’s more than one way to finger it, but 4 2 3 4 2 4 3 2 4 seems efficient to me.

Go on, give it a go. :)

You gotta be kiddin.... my left hand is decidedly wore out after last weeks conversion to 4:3:2 and is now pleading to play the Banjo for a week......or be put in an ice pack....

though actually I do have some sheet music for this ......hmmmm.....a hamlet may go nicely with a whiskey as well .......where's the ice from that ice pack ?

Dum dum ....duuuum dum here we go .....

Hand on ice for a week or play the banjo - now there's a dilemma. Seriously, have you converted from 3:2 to 4:3? I'm a 3:2 man and have never been able to covert to 4:3 though to be honest I use up to 4 fingers where necessary.

Check out the Bach suites and partitas performed by Hugo Noth for excellent free bass playing.

I think that it’s an issue with the strap length myself....
