I placed an order last September with a tuner with a good rep who I've worked with before, for some diatonic LMMH a mano reeds; he said they'd be here (US) by January, but I'm still waiting. He says they're just experiencing delays due to things being out of whack due to the pandemic. Are others having trouble with delays of this sort?

Shortages are common across all industries. Factories try to optimize their production levels to their demand. But when factories were forced to close down for months, and different from country to country... that balance was lost. As a result all industries now suffer from shortages in some of the materials they source (from wood and other building materials to electronic components)... so it would be surprising if the accordion industry were not affected. I have not experienced any shortages in what I do, except a shortage of time (but the pandemic has nothing to do with that).
