i have an old pancotti with dirty bellows

the inside is cardboard coloured but on the outside the cardboard seems to be covered with a mustard colourd material which is soiled and stained

any experiences of cleaning said bellows

In many restorations and rebuilds I come across accordion bellows that are in fine shape but the fabric has been stained. Accordion bellows are made of cardboard, fabric and kidskin all glued together with a water soluble glue. Any water type cleaners will dissolve this glue and ruin the bellows. I restore their cosmetic appearance with a fabric paint product. You have a product similar to what I use found at http://www.fabricspray.co.uk
