Broken mics

In my new accordion is a professional mic system installed with 4 mics under the grill and in the bassside it has 2. Works with a battery and i changed the battery to see if it works. It doesnt and i have no clue about this things. What should i be looking at first? Does it need to be plugged in to switch on?

It has 2 knobs on the basscover and a led light

Typically such systems have a jack plug that also acts as on/off switch. The mics only work (and use power) when a jack plug is inserted. So yes, it needs to be plugged in to switch on.

A 1/4" plug once inserted will connect the battery power to the mic's.
You will need a cord that has a 1/4" phone plug on each end and then connect to an external amp.
Now the phone plug that goes in the accordion just might have to be a 1/4" TRS (3 conductor) or a 1/4" mono (2 conductor) depending how the output jack is wired.
If you could get a pic' of the inside of the output jack I could tell you what plug to use.

That jack is very common and sadly it does not tell us anything. It is suitable for a stereo signal, having ground (closest to the entry hole), then right channel and then left channel. When you plug in a mono jack you short out the right channel. That short is often used as the power switch. If that is the case it means that 1) the setup is mono and 2) you should not use a stereo jack cable because then you are not shorting out between right channel and ground.

Alright so the power will only work when its the right Jack? I tried plugging one in that i had laying around (no idea what kind) and the light went on with the first 5 mm but once i push it further the light goes out. Will make some pics tomorrow when im home

Well, it likely needs to be a 6.3mm mono jack. Any mono jack cable will have that plug. The plug needs to have a tip which is insulated from the shaft and that shaft needs to be in one piece. If it has another (narrow) plastic ring (maybe 7 mm from the end of the shaft) is is a stereo jack and won't work.

If you just short the two brown pins (bottom right of the image) the mics should spring to life which indeed indicates that you need a mono jack plug.
