Had a visit by a giant today over here in the Wirral, UK.
What a shame that he didn't bring his accordion!
What's the biggest accordion in the world, functional or not?
It's not the size that matters ........ it's what you do with it. (Or so I am told)
The accordion that Jerry mentioned may have featured on this forum. I'm sure I've seen a photograph of it somewhere, and I can't think of anywhere else but here.
That one (in Castelfidardo) is indeed the biggest. The bellows and air are operated by a motor. The things that are really functional are the treble and bass keyboard. Fun thing to see and try out.
Ive always wanted to play (on) this Basque trikitixa model I saw photos of at a festival. https://pbs.twimg.com/media/CXBCupAUsAARBJn.jpg>
Its bothering me that I cant remember where I found this photo.
Its said both models were made by the Scandalli factory, the big one around 1928.
The big one is in a Dutch museum, the little one is on the run...
(Im much more interested in the little CBAs)
