So yeah, continuing along on the theme of recording for the coronavirus.   When you live in Wisconsin you are pretty much required to play the old Beer Barrel Polka.....

The Beer Barrel Polka from Wisconsin has inspired me.

Three Yanks Polka

Casion M10 Keyboard and 40 year old Colombo accordion

Hope I did it right

oops...heres another Polka without the top of my head chopped off.

:D

Good effort, Tom! :)

Very slick, George: a real toe-tapper  :)
I also liked your rendition of " the old Oklahoma/ blue skirt/ red skirt (Check) waltz": excellent! :)

Thank you both! :)

Thanks Dingo, and George, very inspiring!

In fact, I know that my recording/playing is a disaster and I can just see JerryPH running for the hills, but it really helps me to record and post these tunes, especially in these strange times.  Next tune I will try an external mic, I promise!

Haha, not in the least!!!   :D

Indeed, Tom, you are an inspiration and I am now going to have to bring back my rendition of this world famous CZECH polka (said with a big loud echo voice... lol), right here via a YouTube video sometime very soon!  :P  :P

Thanks. Jerry, can't wait!

Your clips most certainly are not a disaster, when ever I put a camera in front of an accordion, it seems to cause the keyboard to malfunction, as does an audience, strange. Keep them coming.

a glorious spring morning here in Sussex. Getting up early and walking one of the dogs is proving to be quite enjoyable.

Thanks Hais! I am persevering.... Take 98 is usually pretty ok! Enjoy your walk, one of the few great pleasures left us these days. Frost here this morning, but soon nice enough to take the accordion out....

Thanks so much Mihail! I thoroughly enjoyed your Vienna waltz, keep up the good work!

Well, here is my rendition of BBP... Tom, if you want me to delete this (it *is* your thread!), please let me know.  :)

Well done Jerry!

I felt myself transported to the Oktoberfest!

I particularly liked the musical joke at the end :)

Heck no, Jerry, that was BEAUTIFUL!!!! So inspiring and a great example of how the Roland sounds can really add to the song. Very inspiring, thank you!

Inspired by the nicely played Beer Barrel Polkas...might as well throw in my rendition partly played on a vintage Casio M-10 keyboard which first came out in 1980.  So the M-10 matches my Colombo accordion which has engraved on the back Made in Italy 79-80

Very beautiful Tom !

The Beer Barrel polka is in my map with favorit tunes / sheet music. I also play it regularly, so much fun to play on the accordion !
