Battery amplifiers for outdoor use with accordions

Nice to hear the Street Cube works out. Only 5 watts? amazing. Must be well engineered. Paying the extra was worth it. Those apartment store amps are mainly for MP3 players. Roland probably designed it with instrument in mind. Years ago, (think in the 70s)bought a Roland stereo Power amp, 60 watts. It performed well even with 15” 2 way loud speakers. We need more keyboard arranger and accordion demos on these small systems. Trying it out at music store, not enough. Out in the field is the true test. Thanks for the info.

I have just used a Roland Cube 20x which I borrowed for an out of state gig, it is very clean sounding no distortion as I was pumping lots of volume. More midrange then I needed, which is expected with the smaller speaker. And being this was an older model, not battery compatible. As far as Cube amps are concerned, I think they are something to try. Here is video clip.

I found this you tube on how to power for example a Roland KC110 with batteries verses line power. This explains the purchase of external batteries to get full power...( states that on normal battery, the amp looses 10 watts of power)...

Something interesting to look at. I got this info from the manufacture. I have seen a concert accordion player friend of mine use this model. Something to try if you found one locally. I think these have tubes?

“Wangs #1987HW is great for Blues Harp and Accordion players ...it has warm and cold channels that can be used independently or bridged...the warm channel is very, very warm without being muddy and has a lot of girth..

Wangs AC-60 Acoustic amp also is very warm and very, very organic and would make a digital accordion sound absolutely amazing...great busking amp..”
