I just received my first accordion (vintage Natali with 25 treble, 12 bass keys).  The seller says everything was working and it played great.  However, I cannot get any sound at all out of one row of the base keys.  Is there some adjustment or explanation for what I might be doing wrong?  Thanks in advance...old retired guy...

Hi Me,

Welcome! Hmmm, it's almost impossible to say without more information. Could the reeds be missing? Is it possible to ask the guy you bought it from? Would it be possible to open the bass side and check the reeds? There should be pins on the front and back that you can gently pull out with pliers. Send pictures!

Maybe something came loose in transport? (Happens all the time.) Impossible to say without having a look on the inside of the bass mechanism and/or the bass part where the reed blocks are.
I once looked at an accordion that had been shipped through UPS. The bass blocks were all loose (as in, floating around inside the accordion) so you can imagine the kind of beating an accordion gets in transport.
