I am in the market for a new backpack for my accordions and looking for recomendations.
The one I currently have is made by Fuselli for a 120 bass model and it is not bad but as it zips open across the top and down the middle of the sides which leaves the two halves flapping together like an almost cracked open egg . Negociating 11 or 12 kilos of accordion in through this ever closing gap is a fiddly business.
A friend bought a new Fuselli backpack which zips open down the front corners and allows the front to flap out horizontal and in fact the zip continues along the bottom which makes geting the accordion in and out very easy.
Another type of backpack zips open at the side only ( Ritter is one I have found) so with the bag stood on end the accordion is inserted vertically in the playing position I assume.
Other makers don't give great details of un-zip-abilities. I found an ideal size for my CBA's in the Soundwear range but have not seen how they open.
What recommedations or suggestions could you offer regarding Backpacks ?
Geoff.
