Nice video, but puzzling how everything was done. I'm pretty sure the base that I'm hearing is not from the double base, nor from the Jupiter bayan, nor from the Pigini...

Which bass? There are about a half dozen different ones. The one at the start may well be either of the accordions with some sound editing (likely the bass was recorded or at the very least processed separately from the treble even in the pure accordion passages). The end sounds like a plucked bodyless double bass with accordion support (like Cordovox sounds support accordion with organ). Most of the stuff in between would be coherent with a plucked bodyless. Sound and visuals are not likely identical but more likely spliced together using clicktrack/playback techniques.

Theres actually quite a difference between documentary and produced recordings. Ill readily admit that I am slow to warm up to the latter, but it seems somewhat pointless not actually putting the available equipment to best use if it leads to more enjoyable results, however fake that may appear.
