I was about to introduce myself on the Accordion forum before all the ruckus, but decided to wait it out. Been playing a 72 bass c griff CBA for a week now, having fun so far :D Guess I got tired of just listening to Nordic folk. I've also taken a bit of a fancy to French folk, as I'm also trying to learn the language, again. I'm going through Florence Glorion's Méthode d'Accordéon Chromatique, practicing about two hours every day, hoping to finish it before burning out! Is that even possible? I chose c griff instead of the g griff we have in Finland because I'm hoping to embark on an extended bicycle tour around Europe in a few years, and it'll be more useful to know the c system from the start. All the best to the new forum, I might not write that much but I'm sure to stick around, things look very promising indeed :) Build it and they will come.

Hi mjh,

Nice to meet you here on the forum.

With regards to your bicycle trip, do you intend to carry your accordion with you?
If so, you should film the whole thing as I am sure it would be a hit TV series.

Glenn, I plan to indeed, if I can manage to find a way to not ruin the instrument. As long as it still makes some kind of noise is alright by me I guess. That's the attraction after all. It's the perfect instrument to either be warmly welcomed to a hot supper or chased after by ignorant peasants. I'm told you can also use it to distract a pack of chasing wild dogs, they're ferocious for it. But I have to leave the filming to people who don't have anxiety disorder ;) There's what I believe a 4 part British tv-series called "The World Accordion to Phil" with Phil Cunningham playing with people around the world, I'm sure you know all about it, and I'm just willing to bet he does it much better than I ever could. I wouldn't mind getting a digital copy of that series by the way *winkwink*
