Can anyone suggest a good book of accordion duets,at the intermediate level?

There have been many excellent Duet Accordion publications I have used and performed in the past but, were never in book form.
The duets where always sold separately. Both by Aretta Music Publications and O Pagani Publications . As far a I know the only place to find some of these publications are by contacting --

http://www.bussomusic.com/catalog/

And the Aretta #s are 5007 to 5019 and Pagani #s are 7172 to 9490 call to see if their still in stock.

Thank-you both of you! I want to try and play with my teacher. He is the first music teacher I have ever had,and I've played a variety of instruments most of my life, who always accompanies on my pieces. It is a wonderful feeling.

Though playing solo is great fun, there is an inherent pleasure playing with another musician. Now one has another level of sensory delight that is only matched or even heightened in some cases by playing with a well rehearsed orchestra of accordionists where the interplay of the various musicians just seems to take things to an entirely different level.

In this, I always used to feel equally at home being alone on the stage or with other musicians, but my personal feeling is that an accordion sounds best accompanied. Perhaps that is always why I always have multiple layers in my recordings. :)

Good luck with your searches!

Volodymyr Kurylenko has a great collection of music for solo, duo and ensemble. The page for duo is http://volod.com.ua/music/duo.php and contains many great pieces.
He sells direct (through mail) and he is a very friendly helpful guy (and very good bayan player too). I have several books from his collection and also used some to create a derivative arrangement for quintet from the duo pieces.
