I bought my Bugari used and it had cracks on some of the keys and one obvious scar. They don’t affect the playing at all, but I just wondered if anyone knows a source for replacement keys. It has a reduced size keyboard.
Also, is it a difficult repair?
Thanks.

Wow, Here is a similar unit in the Music Instrument Museum in Phoenix AZ. This one has been completely restored and plays concerts with different songs three or four times a day. The museum also has a staff that specializes in restoring instruments. Might be a good source of information. If you ever get to Phoenix its well worth spending a day there.
I'm sorry for not answering you sooner, Caps, but I didn't read all of your message I guess. Yes, I'm really in South Carolina, and in the town of Woodruff which is halfway between Greenville and Spartanburg, but south around 20 miles or so of each one. I've been working on re-leathering the reeds, but now I want to start on the keytops. Do you know of any source for the Lucite keytop material?
I know that home Depot has white acrylic sheets in 1/8 and 1/4 inch thicknesses. The only Lucite I have seen has been clear. There may be some plastic supply places listed on the web.
Glad to see another South Carolina accordionist on here. I only know of two others in the state, one in Myrtle Beach and one in North Myrtle Beach.
