Ive heard Galliano play Fou Rire and didnt really like it much at all.

Zoltan Orosz, a Hungarian, who specialises in Balkan music, eventually convinced me that it was worth listening to with this rendition:-



IMHO this guy is one of the finest current accordionists in the world.

Thanks for that link. Proves my theory that you need to start very young and play many hours in a day if you want to get half as good as that. The sound quality from his accordions are superb, and even although I dont play Balkan style I rate Balkan type instruments as the finest sounding accordions there are.

Very few people will have heard of Zoltan Orosz, which is a pity. IMHO Galliano, great as he is, is just not in the same league as this guy.
