I'm learning "Powerhouse" by Raymond Scott as played by Ernie Felice, but in the meantime, I know people just want to move, so I'll play some Cajun-style stuff I make up on the spot. If they're quiet, I'll play a little waltz I wrote.
My teacher, Charles Nunzio, Wrote an arrangement of "Powerhouse" for accordion. I even have a live recording of him playing it in 1941!
That’s the arrangement I’m learning, Zevy! Is that recording available?
For the uninitiated, Raymond Scott, who wrote “Powerhouse”, wrote a lot of scores for the classic Warner Brothers cartoons: Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Sylvester the Cat, Porky Pig, etc.
And by the way, your recording of Olive Blossoms is splendid.
