I took off the shell last night. I guess if I loosen the two screws on both ends, I could take off the bass machine as a whole. Would you say I am right? And, if in this manner I take out the bass machine, the buttons will not fall in a mess. Am I right?

James, put your screwdriver away. In the centre of pictures 2 & 3 you will see a loop of wire - Pull these upwards then slightly outwards and you will release the assembly.
It is manufactured as a unit and will not come apart as you fear, unless you use spanners and screwdrivers etc.
Just ca canny

Thank you, Artelagro! I will follow your words. Very helpful!

(I have thrown away my all screwdrivers. )

Hi Artelagro, I made it successfully. Really enough, the assembly came out whole. I read somewhere saying only small amount of machine machines are made to come out whole, while other are to be taken apart if you want to access the pallets, etc.

Thank you!

Common in Hohners, to come out as a 'cassette' assembly - although some models come out in two half sections. Not sure what year they introduced that design? Anybody?

Note sure, but my Hohner Morino VI N bass side had to come out in tiny little pieces to replace the felts.
