Spot on losthobos !! I heard Jools Holland (all brits know Jools Holland and his band ) with the great Ruby Turner singing !!Superb understatement...less is more....just add vibrato....
They played it as one would expect ! but in the middle Eight switched to a Tango type Rhythm it was wonderful and then back to the Blues style
it was featured several years ago in his New years eve Concert on the BBC TV called Hootanany .....
I know the tune as traditionally starting as tango and then blowing straight back and forth... Is old enough to evoke that clave rhythm that just stinks of New Orleans and somehow got shuffled off stage.....
As too Jools Holland I find him hard to endure....glib player with the undeniable skills of a metronome and the emotional content to match .. ..would never diss Ruby Turner though....
