Sonola year

Hi there,

I've been off for a month or so, may be slowly coming back to the forum now. Lost a close family member in August and took some time to myself away from most activities... It's a process.

Anyways, wondering if you guys could help me:
Recently got a Sonola SS-4 Ernie Felice model, and I don't know if it's possible to know the exact year of manufacture by the serial number.

It's S5689.

I know that some brands have the first two digits be the year (that would be 1956 in this case) but I don't know at all if that was the case with Sonola accordions.

@JIM D. posted elsewhere years ago that the Sonola SS4 Ernie Felice model went on from the early 60s into 1973 (when Sonola was bought by Guerrini). Wished to see if we had any idea what year more or less this particular one in the pics and with this serial number was.

My Sonola SS15 was purchased new in 1968 and serial number starts with 64 so not sure that the year idea works out exactly.

SS-4 models were made in the early to late 60's. With some of them in the first few years of the 70's.
The one in the photos looks like very low mileage.
