Today I found a piece that I havent heard since I recorded it! I did this back in 1981 and like most things in my life, there is a story attached.
I was in a new relationship with a really beautiful young lady, she was a fresh, lovely, honest a true blooming flower of a person, and on exactly 3 months to the day after we started dating, while driving home from work she was fatally struck by a trucker that fell asleep at the wheel, crossed over in to her lane and crashed in to her car head on. A few weeks after the funeral, I heard a tune somewhere and it really struck hard with me and reminded me of her, and so I created my own arrangement of it and recorded it. The first part was an expression of my sadness over her loss and the second part was the call to get up and continue with life, and keep hope alive.
Today I can see that in a real way, the process of making this multitrack recording helped me heal a bit faster and get over the sadness of the loss. I never learned the names of the songs, and though I recorded it with my accordion, there are no acoustic accordion sounds (why its called unaccordion_song I suppose), but it was 100% all made using my Elkavox and the rhythm came from the Solton Programmer 24.
Anyway, here is a link to my dropbox link. Enjoy.
