I have come across Jupiters for sale on E bay - high spec models with Pigini model names like KYMA and MYTHOS and identical Pigini grills.
Are Pigini making for Jupiter or Jupiter making for Pigini or are they FAKE!

I think you're referring to the listings from BelloBasso, https://bellobasso.com/about. I think his descriptions claim that he has modified the Jupiters to achieve the same type of instrument as what Pigini made. It is no longer a regular Jupiter, but it isn't a real Pigini Sirius either.

There are a few things that are different between these bayans and a regular Jupiter bayan. On the outside you see chin switches that look more like old Italian chin switches than the typical Jupiter switches. (The normal register switches are now a type that is common on new Russian bayans.) Under the keyboard there are now openings in the curved part whereas this area is solid on Russian bayans. The biggest difference I could see is under the grille where wooden pallets are used instead of metal. Interestingly Pigini actually started using Russian-style metal pallets when they first copied the Jupiter to create the Sirius (and Mythos) bayan series.
In order to make a Russian bayan play more like an Italian one many more changes would be needed. (But perhaps to make it more like the copy Pigini made of the Jupiter more than 5 decades ago it of course takes fewer changes.)
The most significant difference between these new offerings and the more traditional Jupiter bayan is the price. The biggest incentive for anyone wanting a bayan-style CBA to get a Russian one is that the Russian ones are a lot less expensive than the Italian ones, but that price difference has come down a lot with the offerings from bellobasso.com. At that new higher price, I would never have bought Russian but would have gone for an Italian one (not from Pigini, not ever).
