I love the idea of the "campfire cover" where a song pops into your head and you try to come up with a serviceable rendition. It is always fun to see the gradual look of realization on people's faces ("that's so familiar - wait, is that....?) when I do this sort of thing at our informal session nights at my favorite beer patio.
