Hey! I’ve been scarce around here, but I am still tinkering with “basket case “ accordions of varying severity. ;-). I’m up to 90 accordions repaired and sold to people to enjoy again and not be thrown in the trash. I’m 75 now and still make my living playing guitar. Have a small 12 bass Brindisi unit with several broken black key tops. Easy enough to plane some clear maple and cut out a new key….3 or 4 coats of rattle can black lacquer and glue on. Don’t be discouraged by missing key tops. Easy to remedy. Thanks

You can try celluloid wrapping. You probably have a junker accordion that you can peel the back of the keyboard off of to give a big sheet of celluloid for doing repairs. Scrape the back clean of any wood splinters or glue first.
Some pics of the process.
