Good morning, Jim. I think this is the only time I will beg to differ with you. It's not "Indifference". Many of the "French Musette" tunes sound so similar because they have similar tempo (quick 3/4) and form (ABACA). That's why I learned Indifference and stopped right there, as it was getting a bit redundant.Yes it's his rendition of "L'Indifference.
Silhouette is written by Pica. Someone says it's similar to "L'indifference"...I don't think so. Yes, it's the same style but not the same tune. I linked "l'indifference" so you can hear it's very different.Ric,
Thanks for sharing this great clip ??
I thought this tune had another name??
So all valse musette sound like Indifference? Or if you can play Indifference, you can play all musette??That's why I learned Indifference and stopped right there, as it was getting a bit redundant.
This tune is written by Pica. Someone says it's similar to "L'indifference"...
I don't think so. Yes it's the same style but not the same tune
Thanks, Lucio I did a mess. Obviously "this tune is written by Pica" I was meaning Silhouette posted above. I edited the original postWhat are you talking about??
This is Indifference and it's not a Pica's composition.
Take it easy, Lucio. I did not mean to say anything condescending or derogatory. If you were offended, please accept my sincerest apologies. Musette is a beautiful, but very specific genre. I play lots of Klezmer tunes and to some listeners many of them sound very similar. So all valse musette sound like Indifference? Or if you can play Indifference, you can play all musette??
Following this "logic," all popular pieces are redundant and we should be able to play all of them if we can play just one.
Musette valses has some common basslines and chord progressions, that's it, like all pieces in all genres.
To me it's quite incredible that the piece in the video "sounds like Indifference" for some of you.
I wasn't offended. Are you?Take it easy, Lucio. I did not mean to say anything condescending or derogatory. If you were offended, please accept my sincerest apologies.
Not at all. No apology necessary. ?I wasn't offended. Are you?
My apologies if this is the case.
