Limex G5 Card

Ehm...what is your idea of low cost? For the hardware+install and some extra patches you can get a decent new acoustic.

Limex is proven here (and in Germany). If you ever see a singer/accordionist/entertainer-type 9/10 they will have either Limex or a Roland.

The G5 sounds are decent i'd say. They demo'd one at a nearby Limex service place.

It is something I would buy invest if I already had a quality acoustic. Yes a good acoustic can be expensive. G5 has styles and sounds. Looks like a nice upgrade from the older versions. How it interconnects, I would like more info on this...? Can that board replace the bk-7m. I would like to hear from those that have this or older model experience...
As far as I know, they need to go a step farther to have a computer port and performance list capabilities like Bk.

I have known at least 3 Limex dealers personally. Limex is too expensive and complicated, and it is hard to work on. One dealer quit dealing in Limex and went with Bluenline also from Germany. https://www.midi-akkordeon.com/blueline-midi Also, the Limex is a closed system like Apple. Just about everything is proprietary. I would rather have a simple MIDI accordion and choose my own sound sources; be it a Ketron, or V3 Sound which has high quality accordion sounds, German Oberkrainer sounds, and others.

Thanks for your input. I just saw this product online...It seems there is a dealer/technician in Tennessee that just went for training in Austria on the G5.
I am looking for portability like the BK-7m. If I wanted more quality sounds, I will keep on Bringing along my Korg PA3x on gigs.
I found a Used BK...Right now I am trying it on gigs. Have no choice at this time since I am doing several gigs a week(4-6), no time to do elaborate setups. I rigged my Bk to be on a small rollin cabinet, interconnected with hardware and mixer. So I just roll small cabinet, plug in power, connect speaker. 5-10 minutes tops, I like that! The BK, not bad after several hours of editing and setting up. But that is expected with any electronic instrument. Everyone has a different feel and style. I am just using the BK styles, FR4x for the sounds...yes I can make this awesome by layering the BK sounds with accordion, but keeping it simple...

the G5 with touch controller should be as mobile as it gets

it will come with a Limex multi-pin out connector for power, midi and output, then a mini-USB input for PC programming

I told the factory, the only game changer for me is to have a programmed performance list like in BK. Select a song and transmit to a particular performance number with IPad, Songbook+ App. Which I am doing now. Do away with the G5 touch controller during performance. I believe it does not have this feature as mentioned. I do not have time to look at a touchpad during a fast paced show to go onto the next song. It is interesting the G5 sound board can be installed in the foot pedal unit?

I agree the mic is a nice feature (if I could sing). I have the older Limex mic kit with the connection but lacking a proper vocal microphone for it with a 1/8 jack. I'm thinking about switching to Limex later this year because of their pickups and to be able to send bass and treble seperately. But I hate the fact the output connectors are Limex-only. Also my own wireless kit would be useless. Must figure out a way to change the multi-pin connector to jack and power it by battery somehow. Probably it will drain a 9V faster than my sennheisers.

The good thing, I believe these is Tech in Tennessee with sales and support. He Just went to Austria for training. To me, I/O is lacking for my needs.
