Legerra thoughts and opinions

I have a Leggera AM 1050 that I got in April of this year. This is my first artist model accordion and I like it a lot. It’s a couple pounds heavier by my scales than advertised, but still only around 23 lbs. Tone chamber reed sounds are rich and mellow.

Did you get the one with three middle reeds or the one with lmmh?
How are you still liking the tone chamber?

Did you get the classic black?
I wish they made those in more exciting color choices.
I had the 1000 and then traded it in because i wanted to downsize
But then really got sidetracked by other models and havent replaced it yet.

No, mine is chocolate brown with mother of pearl looking lucite keys. It was a floor model. I think they have several color choices other than black.

You're definitely going to have to let us know how it all turns out. Hope the ultimate choice is a match made in heaven!

All accordions are typically around 1kg (2 lbs) heavier than advertised. I have found this to be true for different manufacturers. Every accordion player wants a lighter accordion and advertising the accordions as lighter helps boost sales. So you should never compare the actual weight of your own accordion (measured by yourself) with the advertised weight of a new accordion.

Yes, Paul, but they weigh them before they put all that music into them.
