I'm enjoying the variety of sounds available on my Roland FR-1xb.
However, the octave break on the Stradella system (cleverly disguised when you're playing with multiple reeds) becomes much more noticeable when playing with an non-accordion sound. Do you get used to it? Stick with accordion sounds? Use free bass mode?

With non accordion sounds you will have to work within the limits of the Stradella system or indeed avoid chords in left hand or learn a free bass layout of our liking. I can’t think of a magic bullet that will solve this. Maybe careful choice of the left hand sound may mask the effect. Playing in a different key. Not sure if the 1x allows you to move the break point.
