We saw these guys at the Hawth, Crawley, last night - they are absolutely brilliant. Canadian folk music, tremendous energy, including melodeon and a little bit of accordion playing. It was one of the best gigs weve been to. Highly recommended!

And now were off to Sidmouth.

I saw them at WOMAD last weekend and thought they were ace. There is a fair bit of hurdy gurdy and melodeon in there but no accordion. I even watched them do a cooking demonstration too which was hilarious!

Excellent band!
Am I right in thinking that most (traditional) music coming out of Canada is Quebecois in inspiration?
I guess the 1-row was adopted independently in Quebec and Louisiana - wasn't the "Arcadian" exodus from Canada before the invention of the melodeon?
