I have been experimenting with alternative tunings for diatonic 1-Row Accordions (Cajun Accordion, Melodeon)
I was looking for an easier way to play the Blues with the common three chords (C, F and G7 in the key of C). After playing around for some time I found continuous scales for diatonic instruments. This means that the notes do always have the same steps. This allows to play different major or minor scales and 16 different triads, which are related/similar to the circle of 4ths. The nice thing about this is if you pull or draw any three buttons right next to each other then it will always result in a chord (triad in root position), major or minor depending where you are.
