A round 2010 I met up with some friends at the Dallas accordion convention in Texas.
The late JOHN Martin did a presentation on his iPhone of an app called Shazam .
He pointed it to a music source like a radio ,the program could identify the tune being played and tell you the title ,of the song /tune plus lots of other information .if you have any other info please share with our members.
John must have done something right because I've not forgotten his presentation

Many MIDI apps have the ability to "hear" what you play and create notation based on this.

SCORE CLOUD STUDIO apparently does this both via MIDI and by hearing audio, though I have never tried it.
