Dingo,
Yes, though I have never heard a choral arrangement of it before; and the pace of this one is almost somber whereas (despite the bittersweet lyrics) it’s generally played with a much more upbeat tempo.
with music from 0.30

L'Italiano is my favorite. It has a very lifting quality and very good to make a party going if you play it with energy.

for decades my Mandolin/Figonina/Trumpet player would
get the yearly San Remo winners and we would learn one or two
of the most appealing songs by ear for local performance

Toto Cutugno remained a contributor of excellent songs and
new ideas, all the way through his most excellent and unforgettable
"Insieme... unite unite Euro" line for the song
he wrote to support and encourage the European Union

while traditional songs are wonderful to learn and play and fall in love with,
the Hit Parade is also an important tool for Musicians who want to
really connect with their audience(s)

and never be afraid... if it appeals to you and you think you can
pull it off, give it a try

hell, i play Ramazotti and Zuccero hits with no shame at all !

just like the yearly Eurovision winning songs, which gave me many
great tunes to learn and share (Waterloo) a look back at San Remo through the years
will introduce you to artists you would otherwise never hear of
(if you are not European) and dozens of great songs that are
playable on accordion

ciao

All good! Played at a day center yesterday and actually had a request for Italian music. How rare! Let's see, I played Serenata Aviglianese, Ho Detto al Sole, Carnevale di Venezia, Amore Mio non Piangere, Piemontesina Bella. Same old stuff but I like 'em.

I've been asked to find sheet music (here or in Europe) for Tango Fuego, Arturo Caruso, as performed here:
Requests to other social media accordion groups drew blanks. Thanks for any leads you can provide!
