Hello I need help with 3- 3- 3- and 3+ 3+ 3+
- means pull accordion apart
+ means push accordion together do you know how to do this?

well there are different types
of accordions although I think
from what you are saying is
you own a 1 row button accordion.
(forgive me if im wrong)

what are you asking as it seems you
are having trouble is how to do switch
between pushing and pulling in which
although I don't own one I would say
that when you need to make a different
note rather than changing direction and
pressing the button hold down the button
and change direction. as for the number
3- or 4- etc. I think the number would stand
for which button eg. 3- is 3rd button down
while opening.

It looks like there are too many buttons in one direction before you can change direction. Is that the problem?

You are asking in the wrong forum. An accordion is a chromatic instrument, meaning all notes (and chords) are available in either direction, and they are even under the same button.
What you appear to have is a diatonic instrument, not an accordion. People over at the melodion forum may be able to help you out. But of course you need to consider what it is you really want to learn: a diatonic instrument (like concertina, bandoneon, Steierish harmonica and others used for instance in cajun, etc) or a chromatic instrument (piano accordion or button accordion).

Hi, I will try to help you (but it is not fully clear to me, what you exactly want).
As indicated by other members, this "notes" are for diatonic accordion.

+/- indicates the bellow opening or closing (or closing/opening).

This song starts with higher tone, so if you push button 3, you can try to open bellow and close bellow - your song starts with higher tone. At this time you know, if "-" is used for opening or closing (must be higher one).

So you will start song in the right direction with pushing button 3, than 1 , 2 and 3 (I expect notes A AA A AA A D F A ...).
In second part you will use the other direction, but the same buttons (they now play G GG G GG G C E G ...) etc.

In case, that your instruments sounds in both directions the same way, this is not the diatonics one and you have to use other "manual".

Hope my english is ok for you and answer give the sense :).
Regards,
Jiri
