I don't think many will like this, but... (no accordion)

.... I saw this live when I watched the Brit Awards a few years ago, and thought this was a fantastic version of an excellent song. I play this a few times every week and never get bored of it. And her voice towards the end of the song gives me goosebumps every time I listen to it.

Im off to listen to it again for the 5th time tonight

Florence is an incredible singer...but NEED MORE HARP!!!... to offset the rap.

I prefer the version that is all Florence & no rap (rap brings out the old fogey in me) - and I too expected to find some accordion in there!

could play along to it though as a backing style - although unsure of the chords used :?

I prefer the original version.... well I would, wouldn't I.

I like the track well enough, but posting stuff unrelated to accordion? Is that the intention of this section?
If so, I've got several thousand digitised soul tracks to post over the next few weeks....?

I know I posted "where da accordion?" earlier in the thread, but I personally don't have any issues with non-accordion music in this area.

Anyway, this is Knobby's site, so he can post anything he d*** well pleases as far as I am concerned.:) :ch

My apologies. I shall refrain from posting non-accordion music in the future.

maybe one was guilty of posting in the wrong place and not guilty of posting :?

we have the pub section for this type of thing (don't we :?: )

maybe one for moderators to assess :hb

Just trying to clarify. I like to know where the boundaries are - if we fill this Accordionists forum up with non accordion related stuff it would be defeating it's object, surely.

Ok, I'll go & put on my horse hair underpants.

I'm very very very very very sorry I posted this. I'll never do it again. Honest.

Guys, DON'T pick on the forum owner!!!! Remember what happened last time.

Knobby, other than the pub - should we have a corner for discussing music in general? I've been bursting with musical theory questions, related to equal temperament and how music may have sounded before that.

You could post these in the "Tunes & How to Play Them" forum, as that's for general music discussion.
