Hey everybody, new to the forum & relatively new to the accordion- started playing this past May with the Duffy String band in Philadelphia, and I just recently bought two accordions for myself- an old beater del monti (15 in. 41 key treble, gonna have to replace it as it's too hard for me to play) for my mummers gigs, and a beautiful Marotta Concerto Continental Mark 1- it's a nice box.

I mostly play accordion with the mummers (see the attached pic of me in the Mummers Parade this New Years day with the old instrument I was borrowing), but also for fun and a few gigs here and there. Looking forward to learning more about the instrument & all of you!

Hi and welcome to the forum.
Didn’t see your attachment but hope you can spare the time to make it available soon as the idea of mummers is an intriguing one.

The attachment was too large- heres a link to a thread with the photo on reddit

and a video of our performance (me and the other accordionist in the band are in the back wearing the backpieces)

I have a good friend & customer who also plays accordion in your group.
The gent's name is Paul Gluck -  any connection ???

Hey Jim, the name sounds familiar- not sure which band he's with but I'm sure he knows a bunch of the people in my band, mummery is a small world haha, I'm still meeting a lot of people since i've only been in a year.

And thank you all for the warm welcome! I may have a very exciting new development related to accordion but won't know for sure until sometime soon. In the meantime I'm gonna make a post about my new box with some nice pictures in the right part of the forum- interested in hearing what ideas some of you all may have for it.
